High flow (large-flux) filter cartridges are one of the easiest ways to cut cost in a large water system - but only when the duty suits them. Here is when they pay off.
A high flow cartridge is an oversized element - typically 40 inches long and much wider than a standard 2.5-inch cartridge. One large-flux element handles the flow of a whole rack of standard cartridges, so you need far fewer housings, less piping and fewer element changes.
For low flow, intermittent duty or very fine bespoke media, a standard 2.5-inch pleated or melt-blown cartridge is simpler and cheaper. You do not need the large-flux format to protect a small RO unit.
We supply PP melt-blown, pleated PP/PES/PTFE and sintered stainless steel media in 0.1-200 micron, with 222/226 end caps. See our 40-inch high flow cartridge, pleated filter elements and the high flow filter manufacturer page.
Send your flow rate and the particle size you must remove and we will recommend the rating, media and element count.
